Dimensional Global Small Company Trust’s objective is to provide long-term capital growth by gaining exposure to a diversified portfolio of small companies associated with approved developed markets (excluding Australia).
- Invests in eligible companies will typically be in proportion to their market capitalisation within each country.
- Resting on the research of renowned academics such as Eugene Fama and Kenneth French, the strategy first filters the universe by only selecting the smallest 10% to 15% of stocks by market cap in each country, thereby eschewing large-cap names and exhibiting a significant small-cap bias.
- Excludes companies with low profitability (using an adjusted measure of operating income) and high asset growth.
- To compare the performance of the Trust with a broad measure of market performance, reference may be made to the MSCI World ex Australia Small Cap Index (net div.)
