The Vanguard Australian Property Securities Index Fund seeks to track the return of the S&P/ASX 300 A-REIT Index before taking into account fees, expenses and tax. The fund is managed to closely track the risk characteristics of the index, while minimising transaction costs and effectively managing index changes. The fund will hold all of the property securities in the index (at most times), allowing for individual security weightings to vary marginally from the index from time to time. The Vanguard Index Australian Property Securities Fund gains its exposure to securities in the index by investing in the Vanguard Australian Property Securities Index Fund (Underlying Fund).
