BetaShares Australian Equities Bear Hedge (BEAR) seeks to generate returns that are negatively correlated to the returns of the Australian sharemarket. The Fund expects to generate a positive return when the S&P/ASX Accumulation 200 Index falls (and a negative return when the index rises).
- A 1% fall in the Australian sharemarket on a given day can generally be expected to deliver a 0.9% to 1.1% increase in the value of the Fund (and vice versa).
- All assets will be located in Australia and held in Australian dollars.
- The Fund does not have specific diversification guidelines or limits. However, the Fund seeks to generate returns that are negatively correlated to the returns of the Australian share market (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 Index).
- Target assets allocation: Cash and cash equivalents (90% or more), Exchange traded derivatives (including ASX traded futures) (10% or less).
